Dear Donor Family,
I am the grateful individual who received the precious cornea donated by your loved one. While I don’t know who you are, know that I am so grateful to you and your family for this gift of sight.
By the time I was ready for this transplant my vision was so poor I had to stop driving at night or anywhere unfamiliar. I no longer enjoyed being outside. I was in constant fear of injuring my good eye and losing all vision.
Gradually my vision has started to come back. I have you to thank for this. Thank you for this very generous gift. I’ve made every effort to tell others about the return of my vision that came thanks to your loved one. You have made an enormous impact on my life and on the lives of my family and children.
